  • Collected data regarding social determinants of health that most affect the populations BBP serves in order to bring awareness to issues of racial/economic equity, resource inequality, and encourage strategies for improving community resources.
  • Worked alongside the Development Manager on donor stewardship activities; including creating/maintaining donor acknowledgement letters and thank you cards, managing social media campaigns, and providing assessments of donor retention models in fund development meetings. ---Educated clients of all backgrounds about social services available to them.
  • Streamlined and employed available resources to re-design client intake procedures to better capture client/ donor needs.
  • Regularly conducted data analysis to improve client experiences and create more efficient work flow
  • Provided administrative support and scheduling for EAP management team.

  • Tracked and managed the cases of 100-250 patients in comprehensive excel spreadsheets and a CRM database.
  • Acted as a liaison between insurance companies, medical providers, and insurance claim managers. 
  • Provided customer service to a diverse population of patients; helping them best understand their treatment plan and insurance coverage. Exported reports from the database to evaluate best practices for patient retention, treatment plan education, and the capture of demographic information.
  • Participated in community engagement around Seattle to educate individuals about healthy lifestyle practices and staying active (i.e. tabling at local farmers markets, 5k/8k runs, and other events).

Mary Gates Research Fellow in the Summer Institute for the Arts and Humanities (SIAH)
June 2018 - August 2018
 
  • The Summer Institute in the Arts and Humanities is put on by the Simpson Center for the Humanities at the University of Washington. It is an annual program that supports interdisciplinary research. Fellow's recieve a fellowship/research scholorship, and present their findings at a closing symposium.
  • My research explored the immunological components of a city, and - more specifically - what immune systems can tell us about Seattle's struggle with homelessness.

Gage Academy of Art Development Intern
- Seattle, WA
August 2017 - June 2018
 
  • Created and maintained relationships with sponsors/donors, working artists, and volunteers.
  • Designed event content and marketing materials for Gage’s Annual Art Auction & Gala.
  • Researched and evaluated grants for the Corporate Giving Manager, generating lists of grants to apply to every quarter.
  • Coordinated with development and marketing departments on fundraising and marketing logistics for major events.
  • Improved Gage's membership model by recommending the use of fixed member ID numbers, so as to best evaluate donor retention.

Promislow Lab - Seattle, WA

  • Maintained experimental protocols for the Amyloid Beta & Tau project which included phenotypic sorting of flies, crossing flies for reproduction, flipping flies onto new food regularly, etc.

  • Used microscopes and an imaging software to image the phenotypically presenting and control flies of each experimental group.

  • Helped to edit the experimental protocol as necessary.

KEXP Radio Volunteer - Seattle, WA

  • KEXP is a public radio station (90.3 FM in WA) that specializes in alt. rock and local indie music. Volunteering responsibilities included: phone and mail management, DJ assistance, reception, emailing etc.

 

University Bookstore Cashier - Bellevue, WA

  • I worked at the Bellevue Branch which was unfortunately closed down in February of 2017, but I also worked temporarily during rush at the flagship store (in University District).

  • Provided excellent customer service to bookstore patrons, answering all questions they had about books & other materials we had in stock.

  • Processed payments (credit & cash) using their proprietary financial software.

  • Carried out opening and closing procedures, as well as other operational protocols as necessary.

  • Stocked books, and provided professional giftwrap.

Cedar River Dog Farm (CRDV) - Maple Valley, WA

Dec. 2013 - Oct. 2014​

 

  • CRDV is a family owned business that provides dog owners with a place to drop off their pets when they go away for extended periods of time. 

  • My responsibilities as an attendant included feeding dogs, caring for them, and working with new and returning clients.

Editor in Cheif of The Falcon Flyer 

September 2012 - June 2014

 

  • The Falcon Flyer is a student run publication at Kentlake High School.

  • Managed a team 6-7 editors, teaching them how to write according to AP Style, and according to the section of the paper they were assigned to (i.e. Lifestyle, News, Editorials, etc.).

  • Designed many pages of the newsmagazine using Adobe creative suite, which was run every month.

  • Facilitated brainstorming sessions to come up with unique layouts for every new issue. 

  • Coordinated publishing guidelines, colors, size, etc. with an external publishing company.

  • Distributing all the newspapers once they arrived, to every classroom and other areas around the school.

  • Led brainstorming meetings about which stories to run, and had final discretion regarding the lead stories each issue.

  • Copyedited the entire publication, alongside the editors, before sending to press.
